[Dot ] [Dot] ...The Center's multidisciplinary team of specialists from neuroradiology, neuro-opthalmology, and neurosurgery provides initial free consultation to physicians whose patients may benefit from embolization. Patients diagnosed with inoperable intracranial aneurysms; intracranial or spinal arteriovenous fistulas or malformations; carotid cavernous fistulas; scalp arteriovenous malformations; vascular skull-based tumors; or Vein of Galen aneurysms are potential candidates.

The Center team reviews a prospective patient's records and films, then discusses the case with the referring physician. Potential candidates come to the Medical Center for a thorough evaluation, including consultations with Medical Center neurosurgeons, neurologists and neuro-opthalmologists when appropriate. During the evaluation, team members fully inform the patient or his or her family about the risks and benefits of the procedure, as well as about expected results.
